Kela Ki Sabji

KEla KI SAbji
(Serves 3)
Ingredients:

2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon asafoetida/hing
2 green chilli, minced
Pinch of turmeric
4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced ½ inch thick
1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
½ teaspoon mango powder/amchoor
4 tablespoons water
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation:

Heat oil.
Add cumin seeds then add asafoetida, green chilli and turmeric. Sauté.
Add bananas, ginger, mango powder and water.
Stir gently and cook for 1 minute only.
(Don’t overcook otherwise banana will become mushy and watery.)
Turn off the heat and add salt.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
