Green Peas Kachori

• GREEN Peas Kachori •
(Serves 4)

2 small bowls green peas
4-5 green chillies (hot)
2 tablespoons oil
½ teaspoon mustard seed/rai
¼ teaspoon asafoetida/hing
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon turmeric/huldi
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon garam masala

2 small bowls wheat flour
Salt to taste
½ cup water
1½ teaspoons oil
Oil for frying


Crush green peas.

Crush green chillies.

Warm oil in kadai.

Fry mustard seed and asafoetida.

Add green peas and chillies and cook on low flame, stirring continuously.

Add salt, turmeric, lime juice, sugar and garam masala and mix well.


Kneed dough of flour, salt, water and oil.

Shape into rounds and fill with green peas mixture.

Deep fry.

Serve hot with chutney and sauce.
